Our Skills & Expertise
D&H Ag Services specializes in Subsurface Drip Irrigation (SDI) systems including design, sales and service. Designing and installing more than 40,000 acres of subsurface drip irrigation systems, D&H gained extensive knowledge of what does and does not work in the Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma farming communities. One of the original objectives of D&H was to do the job right the first time applying comprehensive design techniques while utilizing the highest quality products combined with superior customer service.
What makes D&H so successful is that they don’t cut corners to save a buck or two. They want their systems to last for many years so they design and build them with that purpose in mind. Their experience has taught them that using a proven controller may cost a few more dollars upfront but saves time and money in the long run. They also want the producer to be able disperse and control his own water rates based on real-time data collected in each of his fields. So before they begin designing a system they strive to understand the long term goals of the farm including any planned expansion of the drip system. With this information, D&H can design a system that can be expanded and they know how to lay the proper groundwork.
Easy access is important to an effective subsurface drip system so the design includes an easy to access controller and filtration system. D&H designs smart systems and because of the flexibility of PVC pipe, these systems are easy to access.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Farming more than 4,500 acres of irrigated and dryland cotton and custom stripping another 4.500 acres, allows D&H to truly understand the margins in growing various crops. They want to make sure their customers make wise investments. D&H flexible design estimates allow the farmer or landowner the option to choose various combinations of filters and valves without jeopardizing the integrity of the system. When the farmer wants to know when his wells are turned off so he can start them back at that level moisture, probes can be installed and monitored. Integrated system design will allow a farmer to monitor his fertilization when desired.
Dusty and Heather Cornelius are partners in marriage and in business. Their children have always played an important role in the success of their agriculture based business. D&H Irrigation began in 2000. Today, D&H Ag Services have 7 full time employees plus seasonal contractors when needed.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
D&H Ag Services has been working hand in hand with farmers and the USDA for decades. They are very aware of cost-share programs such as the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) which can assist with irrigation improvement systems. They are knowledgeable regarding the process to follow to get funding from NRCS utilizing the guidelines for these programs. Once the Subsystem Drip Irrigation system has been designed, D&H can assist the landowner with required paperwork, sampling, and flow analysis calculations. D&H will submit this information to an NRCS engineer for approval. Once the project is approved, D&H signs and submits the final paperwork. Over the years, D&H have built excellent relationships with key individuals within the local water districts and NRCS offices. These established relationships help the landowner avoid any unnecessary delays.
